Vana Trust Organic Therapeutic Farm
Vana Trust Farm is a planned therapeutic project in a beautiful
rural setting between Bicester, Aylesbury and Thame. Its main
activity will be healing through farming.
It aims to work with a range of vulnerable people with varying
needs, including families with children, people with special needs,
those for whom it has been demonstrated that farming has a
beneficial effect.
The farm will offer:
- A safe, supportive environment where people can begin to
recover from distress and trauma, and regain confidence
- Opportunities to build links with the local community, helping
to reduce stigma and isolation
- Opportunities for users and volunteers to share and learn new
skills, such as organic farming, wildlife maintenance and rural
crafts.
