Jobs and Voluntary Opportunities

Vana Trust is a new UK base charity providing two projects:
 
One - support to children affected by HIV and AIDS in the Sub-Saharan Africa. We fund raise in western world including Europe and UK and use the donations to sponsor these children in Southern Africa by paying their school fees. Identify vulnerable children in the area, through the help head-teachers of the local schools. Educate children/young people about the risk of AIDS/HIV through providing grants and work in partnership with the local organizations.

Two - supports children from disadvantages backgrounds through a farming project on our organic farm project on the boarders of Buckinghamshire/Oxfordshire.

We are  looking to recruit the following volunteers:

Patrons
We currently have no patron and hence urgently need 3 or 4 patrons to assist with our fundraising plan.

Energetic Trustees
The existing Trustee Board is ready to expand and is seeking experienced individuals with a commitment to our aims, relevant business/charity experience and most importantly the time & energy to make things happen. We particularly seek those with previous trustee experience coupled with professional skills in finance or legal.

PR
Are you a Public Relations Company who could offer us a few hours of your expertise to increase awareness of our projects and help us with publicity which would greatly enhance our chances of attracting major sponsors. They do say where there is a story there is a way …. we have a good story to tell!!

Fundraisers
We are looking for people with presentation skills to present the work of Vana Trust on in the Tubes in central London during rush hour and collect donations after your short presentation. This could be done for about maximum 3 hours per week. If public speaking is one of your strength and you have time to kill please give us a call or drop an email.

Boot sellers: We are looking for people who like to be involved in boot sales over the weekends do you have a car and time to help us raise funds. Remember every pond counts in Africa.

Bucket shakers by shopping centres: is this your scene we are looking for people interest in shaking small tins for donations by the shopping centres near you.

Farm volunteers - we need a variety of people with different skills who can work alongside children from disadvantaged background on our organic farm project on the boarders of Buckinghamshire/Oxfordshire.

Management committee: We are looking for a team of management committee with the following skills or experience, accounting, legal, project management, business, farming/gardening, social work, therapy to set up a management committee for our organic farm project on the boarders of Buckinghamshire/Oxfordshire.

Salary: Voluntary-expenses will be paid.
